Join us in the build up to Christmas with this celebration of the Southern Italian Cuisine. Sip on a complementary cocktail and nibble on antipasti from the South whilst learning how to make rugged southern Italian semolina-water based pasta dough and shape it by hand! You will then be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour with a gorgeous sauce followed by dessert. There will also be plenty of festive surprises along the way ;)
When you arrive you will be greeted by Natasha, the owner of Nightingales Emporium, who will hand you a complementary cocktail and show you to the supper club room, where you will have a little bit of time to mingle with other guests and nibble on the antipasti before getting to the nitty gritty. Neerali will give you a brief history of Southern Italian cuisine and pasta, after which you will be able to put your apron on and get your hands dirty when you start learning the how to make semolina-water based pasta dough. Once the dough is made it will be left to rest whilst Neerali demonstrates a few different shapes. Then...it's your turn! Once everyone has made their shapes, Neerali will cook the pasta to add to a homemade sauce (either Goat Ragù or Squash, Sage Brown Butter & Pistachio Crumb (v)), and you will be able to sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour. You will finally be served a Candied Pear, Chocolate & Ricotta Cannoli before heading home with a goody bag filled with the recipes from the evening and a sweet treat.
